Emma has spent over 20 years working across fashion, advertising and broadcasting, with a career that’s taken her from styling photoshoots to building sets — just as comfortable with a power drill as she is with a Prada handbag.
She began her career in front of the camera at 17, modelling for brands including GHD, Kickers and Canon, and once famously appeared in a banned ice cream advert dressed as a pregnant nun (a true story — thanks, ASA). That early start set the tone for a career defined by creativity, humour and a love of the unexpected.
As a presenter, Emma’s warm, curious and very Northern. She’s worked with Channel 5, Sky Showbiz, Ladbible, Tesco, Suzuki, Red Tractor, Dell and London Fashion Week, and you’ll regularly see her on QVC as a fashion expert. She co-hosts Kids Car Quiz with her son Jackson, a family friendly podcast produced by her husband and created to make long car journeys a bit more fun.
Emma is the creator and host of the podcast Off the Hanger, which reached the Top 10 in the UK fashion and beauty charts. Each episode explores the stories behind people’s most-loved fashion pieces, blending style with nostalgia and conversation that feels like a chat with a mate.
On social media, Emma shares a down-to-earth approach to fashion, championing wearable style and clever styling through her Maximise Your Wardrobe Instagram series. Her honest, accessible take has led to collaborations with brands including Phase Eight, SilkFred, Izabel London, Blue Vanilla and Chi Chi London.
When she’s not working, Emma’s usually trying something new — from practising archery and singing in a choir to generally refusing to grow up documented on her Instagram account The Anti Adults, which she runs with a friend. A proud Northerner, she’s all about fresh air, a proper brew and a good pie — and home life with her husband, son and slightly bonkers Labrador keeps her busy.
